Robotics Team Hosted Alpharetta Public Works Department

On October 6th a team from Alpharetta Public Works Department visited FSA.  (Terry Porter, Lavon Sills, Monica Moseley, Mike Ochoa, and Laurie Johnson)

The Robotics team Syntax Error had a meeting with them and our students shared their FLL 2015 Trash Trek Challenge project and received feedback about our project.

We also talked about :

How can we make our campus greener? Our main goal is to realize how we can reduce waste in our school cafeteria. In school, we are producing most of our waste in our cafeteria. We would like to take action and reduce the waste.
Republic Services has been successfully collecting residential trash. We are aware that our trash is being taken to their facilities. We would like to know what happens to our trash after it is collected, and where it ends up.

Republic Services invited us to visit their landfill and recycle facilities
