Crochet Club is under full sway as we move into the second quarter at FSAPS, and the students are having a ball with their yarn! We started out by learning basic concepts and terminology for crochet, such as how to make a foundation chain and how to do a single crochet stitch. The girls started and are now well on their way to finishing making dishcloths as their first project. We chose this as our first pattern because it is simple and easy to stitch.
Once we have finished stitching our dishcloths, we will move onto more complicated patterns: next, a scarf, and after that, a hat. When we begin working with these new items, we will also learn more complicated stitches and designs!
