Fulton Science Academy Kindergarten Sharing is Caring

In Kindergarten Character Education last week, students worked on being good listeners as well as reinforced our Social Studies concept of knowing how to be a good citizen. Our Character Education guidelines for being a good listener are following the “Listening Rules.” These include “Eyes Watching,” “Ears Listening,” “Voice Quiet,” and “Body Still.” Students demonstrated how well they know how to be a good listener while watching their friends take turns performing Good Citizen Skits!

Students planned a problem and solution scenario with classmates and then acted out a short skit. Students were in charge of picking a setting, characters for their play, designing a puppet to act it out, and then performing. Their goal was to show that they understand good citizens follow rules and laws. Here is one of our video products showcasing Samaira, Nandika, and Adithi. Two sisters (Adithi and Samaira) are fighting over stuffed animals. Their mom (Nandika) comes over to remind them that they need to share. Enjoy!
