NOVEMBER'S CHARACTER EDUCATION THEME IS "RESPECT"
Respect is:
1. Showing consideration for other people and their property.
2. Caring for ourselves, family, community, and school.
3. Appreciating and accepting individual differences.
4. Treating others the way that you would want to be treated.
How can we incorporate this theme throughout our school and our families this month?
We can encourage students to use kind words to one another, have good manners, and to be sensitive to other's feelings.
We can invite children to listen to what others have to say and to value someone's opinion, even if it's different than your own.
We can learn to appreciate differences among people and value someone's likes and dislikes.
We can help to care for other peoples' property, enjoy helping others and avoid negative behaviors such as mocking, teasing, or talking about someone behind their backs.
