Fulton Science Academy Private School students joined hundreds of volunteers for the 23rd Annual North Fulton Rivers Alive! The event was held on Saturday, September 28, 2013 from 8:30 am – 11:30 am. Volunteers helped to remove litter and debris from roadways, plant flowers and do other projects. This was a great event for families, scout troops, service groups and individuals! Help keep our water source and the vital habitats it supports clean and healthy!
The cleanup was part of “Rivers Alive”, a joint program of the Environmental Protection Division’s Adopt-A-Stream Program and the Keep Georgia Beautiful Program. The annual Georgia Waterway Cleanup is expected to once again be the largest single volunteer effort to beautify Georgia’s water resources.
