Fulton Science Academy High School Program Update

We had a great high school presentation last week. We are very pleased with the number of people interested in our high school program both among our current 8th graders and also students from other middle schools. At this time, we are happy to announce that based on the current enrollments and the interest, we will definitely have 9th grade next year.
We would also take this opportunity to update you about a few changes in our high school program,.
Please be informed that the SAT class will be moved to 10th grade and Computer Science Honors / AP Computer Science class will be moved to 9th grade. We made this change because offering SAT classes in 10th grade will help us to get the maximum benefit from this important course.
The other important change is an addition to the daily curriculum. Please be informed that beginning next year all students in 6th grade and up including high school students will have 30 minutes of daily College Mentorship Program between 8:00am and 8:30am. The daily 30 minutes CMP time will include the following content each day:
Monday - Creative Writing
Tuesday - SAT Math
Wednesday - Character Education (Middle School) / Life Skills (High School)
Thursday - SAT Verbal
Friday - College Mentorship Time
Lastly, please be informed that students who are placed in AP Biology are required to take an online Chemistry course this summer. The registration for the online course will begin on March 24.
