THE CITY OF ALPHARETTA ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATOR, TERRY PORTER VISITED FSA
On November 1, 2012 Science Olympiad Water Quality students discussed methods of determining water quality using small organisms called macroinvertebrates. Aquatic insects and other organisms can tell you a lot about the water quality of a stream. Terry Porter, Environmental Educator, City of Alpharetta discussed why we monitor macroinvertebrates, how we monitor, what types of macroinvertebrates we look for and how to identify them. Thank you Mrs. Porter for educating us on these important aspects of water quality monitoring.
