Great Results in Lassitter High School Math Tournament
FSA Math Team students, Tyler H. (8th grader), Vishaal R. (8th grader), Holden W. (8th grader) and Charlie F. (9th grader) participated at the 17th annual Lassiter High School Math Tournament last Saturday, December 3, at Lassiter High School.
Our team competed against 12th graders and placed sixth as a team in the varsity division out of 36 high schools and approximately 70 teams which attended this competition.
Last year, in December 2015, we placed ninth as a team at this competition in the varsity division. As a middle school team with one high school student this year, we brought our placement up three places and this year there were more than twice the number of schools who participated!
We are proud of our Math Mustangs! FULL SPEED AHEAD! Our goal is to get in TOP three schools in 2nd-semester varsity level high school math competitions! Way to go!
