FSA Monster Book Fair Was Wonderful!

We’re excited about our Book Fair (Nov. 16 – 20, 2015). Parent Volunteers have transformed the Media Center into our very own book store. Students are visiting the Book Fair during their language arts class. There are hundreds of books from new and favorite authors, popular series, cool posters, school supplies, and fun for everyone! Don’t miss the chance to light up a young reader’s face with a good book.

BLESSINGS IN A BACKPACK PROGRAM WAS A HUGE SUCCESS

Our school has organized a community outreach event as part of our grand opening commemoration. The world’s tallest living man, Sultan Kösen made a special appearance at DaVinci Donuts at 131 S. Main St in Alpharetta on Saturday, August 29th from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. For a $5.00 donation to Blessings in a Backpack, the public took a photo with The World’s Tallest Man!
Blessings in a Backpack is a local non-profit organization that provides packages of food on Friday’s for students who may not have anything to eat over the weekend. This program services students at three elementary schools in Roswell.
We thank Davinci Donuts and Blessings in a Backpack Campaign in working together with our school on this wonderful project. The crowd was amazing!
Special thanks to FSA PVO and our parents Mrs. Stevens and Mrs. Utterback for organizing this event.

STEAM DAY WAS LOTS OF FUN!

Your students had a BLAST this past Thursday at STEAM Day. We traveled to many different activities and experiences, each one better than the next...

Students started the day with taping Principal Sener to the wall for the fundraising of Destination Imagination Team and traveled to many wonderful activities such as Reptiles, bubbles, marshmallow shooters, handmade musical instruments, origami, Cosplay, astronomy, string art, face painting, magician, lasers and more!

A huge thank you to our parent volunteers who helped make this day a major success. It was an amazing day for everyone. The best STEAM day we ever had for sure!

FSAPS STUDENTS VISITED GOOGLE HEADQUARTERS

Fulton Science Academy student team NYAN, second place finalists of the 2015 Tag-Ed Web challenge, was invited to Google headquarters in downtown Atlanta for an awards ceremony on May 6, 2015. Team members Elena Juarez, Elaine Wen, and Shreya Rekapalli enjoyed a lovely evening meeting with other finalists, company representatives, teachers, and Google employees. The trip gave team members a very insightful and inspiring learning experience. Thanks to Mr. Sanal for being an awesome mentor! 2ND GRADERS PREPARED FLOWER POTS FOR OUR WONDERFUL MOTHERS!

2nd grade had a great time reviewing the plant life cycle, while also creating flower pots for our wonderful mothers. The students decorated the pots themselves, and planted their very own flower in the pot using loam soil. We discussed the benefits of loam soil verses sandy soil or clay soil. What a fun and messy hand-on experience! Happy Mother's Day from 2nd Grade!

KINDERGARTEN CLASS BUTTERFLY FUN!

We have had the best time watching our caterpillars turn into butterflies. Today we set our 7 butterflies free! Your students said 'goodbye' to each one as they flew out of our butterfly net. It was an awesome experience to see the life cycle of these butterflies happen right in our very own classroom!

1ST GRADE MOTHERS ENJOYED MUFFINS WITH MOMS

First grade had a terrific time this morning celebrating with our moms at Muffins with Mom. Students had breakfast with their moms and drew portraits of each other. They also gave them some gifts that they had worked on this week. It is so special to see our moms and kids together, and it was a wonderful way to wrap up Mother's Day weekend. We love our moms so much!

FSAPS STUDENTS HAD A GREAT TIME AT SPACE CAMP
